Issue: Social Protection and Wellbeing of Vulnerable Groups for the aim of good quality of life. MAT has been supporting Orphan girls with education through its school called Baramba Girls’ Secondary School since 2000 to date from ordinary level to higher education (University). Also has supported Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) and or Orphans through their caregivers. These students are selected through community leadership (Villages’ chairmen, Hamlet and Ten cell leaders) and are those who have lost one or both of their parents due to HIV/AIDS pandemic. Also the organization is supporting children who are living in hard circumstances through their care givers by giving them a support with school bursaries and materials.
- Since this program was started 65 students have supported in education and among of them two have graduated (2 are lawyers, one is a lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam – Tanzania and another one is Science teacher at Baramba Girls’ Secondary school graduated at Kabale University in Uganda).
- Currently at the school there are 16 students who are in form one to form four supported with school fees and two students are in Colleges.
- Pupils are supported with scholastic materials
- The community is appreciating the efforts of the Organization to support poor generation by creating sustainable projects like goats keeping.
